Born and raised in San Diego, California
Attending CSU, Chico for a BFA in Studio Art
My current work directs attention toward some of the various unstable relationships man has with nature. I'm mostly sculpting animals in a state of revision by man's subtractive and subsequent additive modifications, such as finned sharks that have received prostheses to survive. I find our need to manipulate and improve life systems to be the most mystifying facet of human life. I seek a state of equilibrium between presenting both a warning and encouragement of technological advancements that change how wildlife operates, exploring questions regarding their motivation and morality through art. It is not yet clear to me whether interfering with the fragility of living beings can truly be justified.
